Great Backyard Bird Count 2020

February 14 @ 6:00 am - February 17 @ 6:00 pm

Terradise Nature Center will be providing a training and bird identification/observation tools the evening prior to the beginning of the Great Backyard Bird Count. This three day, citizen-science, event is for all ages and skill levels. Simply observe a natural area from 15 minutes to several hours depending on your schedule and interests. During your observation, document the species of birds you can identify and the number of individuals you can see. Once you are done with your count for the day, email or drop off your results to the Terradise Nature Center and we would be happy to report your findings to the ebird database. This event is important in understanding bird migrations each year. The work you do will be recognized by the international scientific community in understanding our feathered friends.
