James Anderson is the naturalist for the Marion County Park District. His talk and walk will focus on the various vernal pools found at both the Terradise Nature Center and Preserve.  These pools typically dry up during the late summer and early fall, but host some fascinating small creatures and plants the rest of the year.  Bring your waders!

The Terradise Nature Preserve is part of the Marion County Park District whose purpose is to protect the natural areas in Marion Count . To learn more about the park district, visit their website.
